The Exorcist: Legion VR's inaugural chapter "First Rites" is coming soon to HTC ViveOculus Rift and PSVR.

VR Locomotion?

What is your preferred locomotion type?

We've designed each chapter of The Exorcist: Legion VR with a variety of locomotion options in mind. Do you love teleport/blink or do you prefer to freely roam through environments?  How about both simultaneously?  We have all three covered with additional choices to further fine tune movement. These movement schemes seamlessly integrated into the Vive Wands, Oculus Touch devices and PSVR controllers (both Move and gamepad), enabling you to switch to your preferred locomotion option on the fly.

Too Many Demons, Not Enough Exorcists: Can you help?

Excerpt: "The Catholic Church downplayed the reality of Satan and demonic forces after the liberalising Second Vatican Council in the 1960s.  However, the conservative Pope John Paul II was clear about his belief in the occult and Pope Francis has also reminded Catholics that "Satan is real"."

What makes "Good VR"?

Wolf Church.jpg

Wolf & Wood Interactive is an established indie team founded in the UK in 2015 by Ryan Bousfield.  Their first release was A Chair in a Room for Oculus DK1 & Cardboard. Wolf followed up with a full-length narrative experience titled A Chair in a Room: Greenwater which released on Steam and was subsequently named by UploadVR as the “Best Horror Game” of 2016 as well winning Viveport's "Community Choice Award" for 2017. Their latest release was The Harbinger Trial earlier this year for GearVR.

Throughout the development process we've had a lot of discussions about what makes "good VR" and what constitutes effective horror (and how we can break the mold). We look closely at how cinematic and gaming experiences intersect. Titles we frequently reference are Soma, Firewatch, Bioshock, and Cloudhead Games's excellent work. Even the Myst series. All of these experiences convey a sense of place, tone and pose questions regarding the role of the participant in worlds they are navigating. The bar is high for The Exorcist: Legion VR, but we hope to do this beloved franchise the justice it deserves and push the boundaries of what "good VR" can be.

Please follow us on Steam or Oculus to stay up to date on new screenshot releases and gameplay trailers.  PSVR owners- have no fear! We've also been building from day one with you in mind . Please sign up with us here for a PSVR specific mailing list that will notify you when the PS store front is active.

The Exorcist: Legion VR experience announcement

We're pleased to finally announce The Exorcist: Legion VR experience which has been in development for the past year. This episodic horror adventure will allow users to actively participate in a variety of increasingly disturbing exorcisms as the plot unfolds across five unique chapters. We take you around the globe as you discover multiple tools to use in your encounters with ancient supernatural entities.

Wolf & Wood have been at the helm for some time, and you won't be disappointed. If you've played the award-winning  A Chair In A Room: Greenwater then you know that Wolf delivers a style of unnerving storytelling unmatched by other teams.

Chapters 1 & 2 will launch simultaneously this Fall on all major headsets, with three additional chapters following closely behind.  "Playtime" for each chapter will vary,  but the average is approximately 20-25 minutes.  Honestly, it's about all you'll be able to endure.  Up until release we'll be unveiling several tidbits which make The Exorcist: Legion VR experience so unique, and so utterly terrifying. Be sure to sign up for our headset-specific notification list for either Vive, Oculus or PSVR.
